Atlanta Made
Born at Grady Memorial Hospital some years ago, I was raised in College Park. I've pretty much lived all over the Metro Atlanta Area, but I've lived in College Park the longest. It's the southern boundary city of Atlanta. If you've flown to or from Atlanta Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport (specifically through Concourses T, A, or B), then you've been to College Park. The beautiful city of 'Atlantica-Pacifica' has nurtured my independence, creativity, and resourcefulness. Because of my city, I'm fashion-forward, open-minded, musically diverse, and street-smart. Anybody that's from the 'A' knows that the south would be nothing without ATLiens.
Career Driven
Although I'm the first in my family to graduate from college, it took me three months to land an actual job. Even with two degrees. It then took me three and a half years to begin my marketing career in advertising. Through each season I wanted to give up, but I didn't. To get to where I am today, I had to work hard. I studied, took extra courses, networked at least once a week, built my personal brand, volunteered my services and also started my own business. I'm not where I want to be today, but I'm making all the strategic moves to obtain my dream career.
Beautiful
I'm Chrishaun. A 5'4, petite black girl with long legs, a short torso, a heart-shaped face, wrinkly hands and a big tightly curled fro. Every day, I see this woman in the mirror and I tell her that she's beautiful. Even on my worst days, I build myself up with my inside voice. It's not easy for women who are hard on themselves, but it is something that we all should work on. Instead of crying in that mirror, post up like Issa Rae and work on being your best self. Being your best self is the greatest thing you can offer to the world.
